Megan Oleson
It is an honor to be a part of the Mesa family! It is a privilege to serve as Principal at Mesa and to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and the community of Mesa.
Prior to starting at Mesa, I was an Assistant Principal at Weikel Elementary in D8 for four years. Additionally, I spent 15 years in the classroom teaching 5th-9th grades and special education K-6th. My experiences have taught me the value of building relationships and the importance of working together for the benefit of all of our students. I am committed to ensuring a safe learning environment as well as a positive and successful educational experience for your child/children.
I am a Wisconsin native and a HUGE Green Bay Packers fan! Go Pack! I completed my undergraduate degrees in Elementary/Middle and Special Education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1998. Soon after, I moved to the beautiful state of CO where I completed my masters in Curriculum and Instruction with my certification in Administration. I have had amazing opportunities to teach in several CO school districts and lived and taught in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico for two years (go Chivas!). My favorite activities, when I am away from my Mesa family, are: skiing (I LOOOOVE cold and snowy weather), watching football, hiking, reading, cooking, being with my friends, and finding any opportunity to practice speaking Spanish. I am blessed to have amazing friends here in CO. Any chance I have, I spend with these fabulous people! Mesa is a perfect fit for me! I love our family environment and our OUTSTANDING community. We work hard every day to make sure our students will be successful members of our community. We are committed to excellence and strive to create and implement high expectations through engaging and creative lessons. I am so excited to be spending my 13th year in administration and my 29th year in education at Mesa. I look forward to experiencing this adventure with the phenomenal staff and community that surround me.

Nathaniel Jake Heath
I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Mesa Elementary. I began my career in education in 2011 and have had the opportunity to support students and staff in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, instructional coach, Gifted & Talented Coordinator, MTSS Coordinator, and Dean of Students. These experiences have shaped my commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
I hold an Education Specialist degree in Principalship and multiple graduate degrees in education and leadership, and I am licensed as a Principal in the state of Colorado. My work as a school leader focuses on building strong systems, supporting high-quality instruction, fostering positive school culture, and partnering with families to support student success.
Originally from Tennessee, I have called Colorado Springs home for many years. I live here with my wife, Sarah, and our daughter. Outside of school, I enjoy staying active, spending time with family, and cheering on my favorite teams—the North Carolina Tar Heels and Liverpool Football Club.

Assistant Principal
Michael Enright
I am excited to join the Mesa Elementary community as the Assistant Principal. Since entering the field of education in 2015, I have worked in both classroom and school leadership roles, serving students and staff as a teacher and Dean of Students. Being part of the Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 community for the past 10 years has been an incredibly rewarding experience and has reinforced my belief in the importance of strong relationships, positive school culture, and student-centered learning.
I received my undergraduate degree from William Paterson University and earned my master's degree in administration from Lamar University. I am passionate about supporting students both academically and socially while helping create an environment where all students feel valued, supported, and challenged to grow.
Originally from New York, I met my wife there before we made the move to Colorado to start our family. We now have two children and enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. In my free time, I enjoy golfing, hiking, and hockey.
I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the Mesa Elementary team and look forward to partnering with students, families, and staff throughout the school year. Building connections with others is one of the most rewarding parts of this work, and I am excited to support the continued success of our school community.

Counselor
Monet Patterson-Gray
Hello Mountain Lions! My name is Monet Patterson-Gray, and I am excited to be joining Mesa for the 2026–2027 school year as a school counselor.
I am a Colorado native and, as many would say, an Army brat. I grew up in District 8 and proudly graduated from the high school, which makes serving students and families in this community especially meaningful to me.
I earned my undergraduate education from Pikes Peak State College and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where I studied Psychology. I later received my Master’s degree in School and Clinical Counseling from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. I am currently working toward completing my clinical hours as I continue growing in the counseling profession.
I have always known that I wanted to work with children and support their growth both academically and emotionally. I believe lifelong support begins at home and is strengthened by the people at school who genuinely care for, encourage, and invest in helping children grow into confident and successful individuals. My mission as a counselor is to create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where every student feels seen, heard, valued, and capable of success.
Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, and spending time exploring new places and experiences. I am excited to partner with students, families, staff, and the community throughout the school year, I look forward to an amazing year together!

Psychologist
Megan Page
I have been part of the Mesa Team since 2022-2023 school year and love working with the families and staff at Mesa. I have been a proud member of the D8 family since 2009. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and my Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver.
I cherish the time that I spend helping others or learning and growing together with the people of the D8 school community. I believe that children have a desire to make good choices but sometimes need help developing their skill set to do so. It is a tremendous gift for me to work with children to help them gain confidence and self-mastery with the skills to handle a variety of situations.
As the school psychologist, I partner with the special education team and administration to identify barriers which may be impeding a student’s academic success. I work with students who need support with regard to their social, behavioral, or emotional skills in the school setting. Depending on student need, I may work with students individually or in small groups on things like: social skills, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
My wonderful husband and two sons are a great source of support for the time and energy I devote to work. We enjoy spending time outdoors, playing games, and serving in our church. I enjoy reading, drawing, and learning random bits of trivia. There’s always more to learn and new memories to create. I am excited to make new memories with the Mesa school community!
